              Department Chief in responsible charge of design of electrical lighting, power and auxiliary systems for commercial and institutional facilities.

              Project engineer responsible for design development, special product application, and detailed electrical systems design of large commercial and institutional projects. Responsibilities included project specifications, detailed cost estimates and analysis, schedules, code research and compliance, coordination of project production efforts, review of equipment submittal for quality and practicality  and inspection of construction for compliance with contract documents.

 

  D & G Electric, Birmingham, Alabama, 1982-1985

              Project manager responsible for development of construction cost estimates, in-     progress updates and detailed design and installation plans for a variety of construction applications.  Assisted in on-site project management.

              JJ's background in both the construction and design engineering phases of the electrical industry brings a sophisticated blend of technical and practical application skill to each project. His principal area of technical expertise centers on lighting application, commercial, institutional and industrial distribution power systems. Some types of projects include churches, schools, retail establishments, banks, medical facilities including hospitals and private doctor offices, correctional facilities, UPS and emergency generator projects, fire alarm system design projects, and AC and DC power system design for communication switching stations.
